"In the past two weeks, Owen Sound's new family physician recruitment commitee raised $790 in operating funds.
The committee also received a $5,000 startup donation, to launch an endowment fund. That and additional money will be invested. Proceeds will finance bursaries, scholarships and other doctor-recruitment incentives over the longer term.

The Owen Sound Family Physician Recruitment Committee has chosen to partner with the Community Foundation Grey Bruce to create a Flow-through Fund, available immediately, to receive donations to assist with Family Physician Recruitment and also an Endowment Fund for long term use including Student Scholarships.
The Community Foundation Grey Bruce is in the business of Endowment building and management. The Foundation was created to raise and manage Endowment funds for community needs and has professional expertise in these areas.
