New Family Health Team
The Owen Sound physicians were recently given approval to form a Family Health Team and as of September 1st, 2006 are working as a Family Health Network (precursor to Family Health Team). 18 of 22 possible Owen Sound family physicians have joined the Network, after having determined that their practice style will benefit from this type of structure. This is your chance to get involved on the ground floor of this exciting development.
While the family physicians currently practice in a variety of medical offices, the group is in the planning stages of a new facility that will provide a variety of primary medical services under one roof. It is anticipated that there will be vacant space for an additional 5 new family physicians to join the group. There are 10,000 people in our area that are without a family physician.
